Transportation and Parking
- Located at the north-east corner of Oak Street and 49th Avenue.
- The best way to reach the parking lot is to come in from behind via Fremlin Street, approaching from 46th Avenue (off Oak Street) or 48th Avenue (off Tisdall Street from 49th Avenue).
- Bus routes 17 and 49 both have stops at 49th Ave and Oak Street.
- The nearest skytrain station is a 5-minute walk or roll east at Cambie and 49th.
When You Arrive
- Check-in with the volunteer in the Sanctuary lobby. They will collect your music and direct you to either the Sanctuary or the Fireside Room, depending on where your class is scheduled.
- Wait quietly in the lobby and the volunteer will invite you into the performance space when it is time for your class.
Before You Arrive
Adjudicator’s Score Preparation
Please prepare your original sheet music for the adjudicator before you arrive.
- Paper clip the page number.
- Indicate bar numbers at the beginning of each line of music.
- Label your name on the front of your music score to ensure its return at the end of the class.
If you need help with score preparation, please consult your teacher.
Festival Guidelines & Expectations
To help the festival run smoothly, please note the following:
- No Rescheduling: Performers must attend their assigned class time. No exceptions.
- Arrival Time: Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled performance.
- Photography & Recording: Not permitted during performances or adjudication.
- Warm-Up & Tuning: No warm-up or tuning space is available at this venue. Please prepare beforehand.
- Stay for Results: Performers should remain until the end of their session to receive marks, feedback, and certificates from the adjudicator.
