
Sylvia is a voice artist, vocal coach, director and performer based out of Vancouver, BC. Notable theatre performance credits: Fraulëin Kost in Cabaret (RainCity Theatre), Yente in Fiddler on the Roof (RCMT), Janet in Waiting for the Parade (Chemainus Theatre), and Les Misérables (Arts Club Theatre). Select MD/Director credits: RENT (Metro Theatre), The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Studio 58), 9 to 5: The Musical and 7 Stories (BlueShore Centre), It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play (CapU Theatre), and Evil Dead the Musical (DSR Productions).
Sylvia owns and operates Purely Vocal Casting where she casts and directs offcamera voice talent for film/TV/video games; recent credits include Love Hurts & Nobody 2 (Universal Pictures), The Wedding Banquet (Bleeker Street), I Will Survive: the Gloria Gaynor Story (Lifetime), Fifa 18, 19 & 20 (EA Games).
As a voice actor, Sylvia has provided her voice on countless projects including for pray.com on The Jesus Podcast & Heroes of the Bible as well as for animated series/movies: Bibi & Tina (Edwina), My Little Pony (Cherry Jubilee), Geronimo Stilton (Dr. Ratfinger), L.O.R.D. (Lady Nox), Martha Speaks (Newscaster), Escape from Planet Earth, Inuyasha (Water Goddess), Vision of Escaflowne (Sola), Mobil Suit Gundam (Matilda), Boys Over Flowers (Miss Urara), Ranma ½ (Kudachi Kuno), and on various gaming platforms for EA Games, Klei Entertainment and Hothead.
Sylvia recently resigned from a 16 year career as one of the founding instructors in the Musical Theatre Department at Capilano University and now enjoys her time as Voice faculty for the Delta Community Music School and in the Music Department at Douglas College. She holds a Bachelor of Music (UBC) and was honoured to be the English-speaking Announcer at Whistler Medals Plaza during the VANOC 2010 Olympic Winter Games. www.sylviazaradic.com
