Camille Henderson

Camille Henderson is most known for her many years touring the world as Sarah McLachlan’s back-up singer, with appearances on The Grammy’s, Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show, and sharing the live stage with music legends such as Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott and Emmy Lou Harris during the Lilith Fair Music Festival.  Camille also has extensive studio experience, working as a background vocalist for artists such as Richie Sambora, Jann Arden and Marianas Trench.

Camille started young.  By the age of 10 she was a working film/TV/stage actor, a session singer for multinational corporations and a signed recording artist with RCA Records.  While still in her teens, she toured arenas as a member of A&M recording group West End Girls.  Once singing for Sarah McLachlan on the Lilith Fair tour, Camille also had the honour of taking the stage as an artist in her own right.

Now with a family, Camille has been balancing her performing career with a demanding vocal coaching business for the last 20 years.  She is a contemporary voice teacher who has developed a niche of working with professional singers, welcoming students of all genres with the inclusive belief that effective technique crosses the boundary of style and personal taste.  As a result, she has coached a rainbow of award winning talents including rockers, rappers, theatre performers and budding pop stars. Camille’s coaching skills have lead her to also work on set with actors such as Eric McCormack, George Segal, John Amos and Anne Heche.

Great singing is a talent, a skill and an art. It is a joy for Camille to have the opportunity to share what she has learned and to empower future generations.
