After 36 years as a science teacher, Bud Bolte retired and began to pursue a lifelong interest in the arts. He found that working with watercolors and aqueous acrylics, on a sealed surface, was particularly exciting and rewarding. Paper that is gessoed, or sealed with acrylics, allows for intense color representation....and the ability to easily lift color affords a unique opportunity to continuously modify a work in progress.
